LightningBolt PIX, a full service, award winning production and post-production company located in Santa Monica, has been in business for nearly 30 years. Founded by artist/filmmaker Michael W, Barnard in 1979, LightningBolt PIX has produced and edited commercials, features, documentaries, music videos, image films and Visual FX sequences all over the world.

Barnard, a long-time resident artist and board member of the world-famous 18th Street Arts Center in Santa Monica, has managed to blend his artist’s sensibility with a strong technical aptitude, allowing LightningBolt PIX to ride the surging crest of technical innovation that is rapidly transforming all areas of image creation and manipulation.
LightningBolt PIX has been a leader in adopting HD and other advanced digital imaging technology to the production and post-production environment.
Over the years LightningBolt PIX has developed an effective project management and idea creation methodology that allows for maximum sharing and interactivity among staff members at every step of the production process.
