Santa Monica 90404
We are pleased to announce that House of Film, a Beverly Hills based distribution company is marketing and distributing a new 93-minute version of “90404 Changing” under a new title, “Santa Monica 90404 – A Vanishing American Neighborhood”.
“Santa Monica 90404” is a multi-dimensional feature-length film that explores a culturally diverse area within Santa Monica that is being lost mostly due to accelerating development and gentrification. The film follows two locals, a Mexican-American teacher (Paulina Sahagun) who decides to make a documentary about her vanishing neighborhood and a black poet (Barry Shabaka Henley) who is knowledgeable about the hidden history of the area.
Lock & Roll Forever (The Oreskaband Movie)
In October of 2007 T & C Pictures of Santa Monica asked LightningBolt PX and Michael W. Barnard to handle the Editorial and Visual FX for their upcoming feature film “Lock and Roll Forever”. Directed by Chris Grismer and starring the Japanese all-girl ska band Oreskaband as well as High-School Musical star Lucas Grabeel, “Lock and Roll” is a light-hearted, visually stimulating musical drama. more…
HBO: Off the Record
In 2006 LightningBolt PIX and Michael W. Barnard were asked to help produce the Main Title Opening for the HBO series “Off The Record with Dave Stewart”. Barnard and the BoltPIX team, in conjunction with MarkMark Productions of New York, shot a number of vignettes for the Open and then worked through post-production with HBO to create the finished version of the Open. more…

“Mr. Mayor – The Life and Times of Alfonso J. Cervantes” began as a special project contracted by A.J. Cervantes Jr. as an homage to his well-known father who was an influential mayor in St. Louis during the turbulent 1960’s and 70’s. more…
UCLA Medical Center Documentary
In 1995 LightningBolt PIX was asked by UCLA Capital Programs to create a short documentary detailing the damage that the existing CHS hospital had sustained during the Northridge earthquake in early 1994. This short film became part of a successful effort to gain substantial support from FEMA to begin the design and construction of a replacement hospital at UCLA. more…
